HI, i am using the dashboard out of a jcb loader (pic attatched) for a project i am doing, i want to use the speedo on the display. the data sheet tells me there is a pin for 12v, ground and a signal rail for the speedo. the data sheet tells me that the gauge runs of Hz through the signal rail. i was going to collect the speed by using a magnetic reed switch attached to the wheel and axel. how would i then output this data to the gauge?
Have you tried just supplying the signal that comes from the reed contact?
