Salvaging printer motors and stepper for arduino cnc

I have salvaged two big DC motors (12V I think...) from a Epson printer recently as well as a stepper motor. Would it be possible to hack them into a small CNC?

Also does anyone have any suggestions what could be used for the axes to move that is quite cheap?

I've just been looking at arduino cnc on YouTube.
It's well worth a look.
