Component has identity crisis

Hi im having trouble finding a suitable replacement for this wumfa, i believe it to either be a MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor) or a capacitor of some description.

The information printed on it is a f logo 250 145 zlc6, see attached pictures below if anyone can help.

That looks like it could well be a Littelfuse TRF250 series polyswitch.

For more clues on what it could be: what is function of the part in the original circuit? What was that circuit doing?

wumfa

?
WT... is a wumfa?

Wisconsin and Upper Michigan Florist Association, pretty obviously. They encourage you to become certified.

Hmmm...
Why do I feel that might not be an entirely useful response in the context of the OP's use of the term?

For more information this came out of a SIP to FXS converter and after removing restored life to the unit, visually it appears to be in parallel with the incoming circuit, as for what a Wumfa is if it please refer yourself to the quote "if it wumfa that the problem would be fixed."

Thank you Southpark

Most welcome Shandy.
