Visit Ralph Banon and Jullian Ilet youtube channels, they show how to use some popular displays starting from the datasheet. I found an ebook on those 16x2 lcd that i'll post here when i get home.
Thanks- I've read the datasheets and played a bit with the 1602. Some things like programing binary character bit arrays just aren't clear to me in the datasheets. Also played with lcd.scrollDisplayLeft/Right, but the results are "jerky" and a bit confusing so looking for better explanations. I'll check the youtube out.
