Forum notifies you that you have made a posting

I just posted a reply, my first one, in this thread:

A moment later a box popped up in my web browser telling me that "New Reply to Your Post: Nick Gammon has replied to this post" (see attachment).

A couple of problems here:

• I am Nick Gammon - I don't need to be told I made a post, I know that.
• It's not a "new reply to my post" - this is my first post, so it isn't a reply to any post I previously made in this thread.

Yeah it's a small annoyance - personally I'd like an option to turn off these notification boxes completely - my email inbox informs me when there's a new post.
