steps per revolution

Hi. This might be a silly question but here it go's.
My stepper motor is a Nema23 3A 1.8, and a driver board TB6550 set to 1.8 , what are the number of steps required to make one revolution(360)?
If i switch the board to 1, will it only take it as 200?

The number of steps should be written in the datasheet for the motor. It's not a property of the driver.

Most stepper motors have 200 steps per revolution. Some have 400. Other variations would be unusual, but I guess not impossible.

Most stepper drivers have the capability to do micro-stepping which can be used to increase the number of steps for (say) a 200 step motor to 400, 800, 1600 etc.

If you were to take a stepper apart you'd see that the rotor is in sections with teeth, and the number
of teeth is 1/4 of the step count of the motor - so most common steppers have 50 teeth, thus 200 steps.
