Title: How to use Switch to light small lamps

Hi,

Im unsure how to, using a switch (with on/off 3 prongs) to control a small lamp.

Any Guidance?

a) Get a multimeter
b) Set it to "continuity" (or "ohms")
c) Figure it out....

Is it one of those 3-pin switches ? Or 'switch' in the definition of LDR ( light dependent resistor) ?
I'd rather use a 2 pin switch . Working with those is easier . Or a potentiometer is also good .
