Title: What kind of tools are needed for the starter kit?
Post by: Aberlaas on Dec 07, 2014, 07:04 pm
Hello everyone,

I'd like to purchase the starter kit and i'm wondering if any of the tools on this page of the store (http://store.arduino.cc/category/25) are useful for the projects described in the book.

Thanks for your help!

Pliers and tweezers are definitely a must-have: many components are small, and you always end up cutting some pieces here and there (for example the "legs" of a resistor) to accommodate them better in your breadboard.
A cheap and simple multimeter like the one in the Arduino store is also useful for debugging your circuit when things don't work out.

ciao,
F.

tweezers !!!!!
Some parts are VERY small, but i would recommend bending the resistors and cutting them at the correct length
