Title: So Arduino-to-camera is can-do. Pixy.
Post by: GoForSmoke on Mar 05, 2015, 06:14 am
Pixy, funded 9/13. (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/254449872/pixy-cmucam5-a-fast-easy-to-use-vision-sensor)

I don't think that many are out on the market, but it's a neat idea.

I purchased a Pixy, this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MN-jYF7WYY4&list=UUp_8JPuLSFZBvrHnvq9mhfA) is a short video of my test tracking objects with Arduino.

Very cool product! I thought arduino can't track objects through video. I guess I'm wrong :)

The video goes nowhere near the Arduino.
It is indeed a neat product . . . I just wish I could get in there with some tweaks . . .

Arduino can't track objects through video, it's Pixy to do all the work of video analysis, Arduino receives position data and commands the servo positioning.

Can Arduino track position via ultrasonic rangers? Yes by my argument but no by yours cause arduino is not sending out sonic waves. :P

The ultrasound goes nowhere near the Arduino either.

Arduino board can control these things but Arduino is more than boards.

I use UNO to connect to it using the hello_world but keeps getting 0 from get_Blocks. However, the PixyMon works perfectly. How can you solve it ?
