Title: Using Atmel Studio Debugger?
Post by: SurfingDude on Dec 14, 2016, 10:11 pm
Some of us are using the MKR1000 and Arduino libraries but others prefer Atmel Studio and the ASF libraries. Atmel Studio provides an excellent development environment, especially on boards such as the Arduino Zero/WiFi101 with its EDBG support for the Atmel debugger.

We are wondering if you might be aware of any efforts to put together an EDBG shield for the MKR1000 or of some other new development that might provide similar capabilities.

Hi @SurfingDude,

I have not tried this myself, but I believe an Atmel-ICE Debugger (http://www.atmel.com/webdoc/atmelice/atmel-ice.preface.html) can be used to do this.
