Title: MRKWAN 1300 not connection to Gateway
Post by: andyuk1970 on May 01, 2018, 09:17 am
Hi there,

I am using the firs configuration sketch to try to connect to the things network using a Dragino Pi Hat.
This is a single channel gateway.

How can I fix the MKRWAN 1300 to a single channel.

Also, in the FirstConfiguration sketch - https://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/MKRWANFirstConfiguration
What does the modem.setPort(3) method do?

could you post the serial monitor output?
In particular what was your answer to
Are you connecting via OTAA (1) or ABP (2)?

if you replied 1 for OTAA does your single channel gateway support OTAA?

Hi Horace,

I am using option 2 ABP, the connection appears to be passing without error.

I get the     Error sending message :(   Message.

The Dragiono Hat has a single channel - Will this sketch be sending data to a fixed channel...if not how can I fix the channel?

Cheers,

Hi Horace,

I am using option 2 ABP, the connection appears to be passing without error.

I get the     Error sending message :(   Message.

that looks like a problem with the MKRWAN 1300 in that it fails in transmission

I don't have a MKRWAN 1300 so cannot replicate the message

I have used Raspberry Pi single channel gateway with a Ardunio Lora shield using ABP without problems

does the Dragiono Hat  log or the Things Network show anything?

I used Use-Lora-Shield-and-RPi-to-Build-a-LoRaWAN-Gateway/ (http://www.instructables.com/id/Use-Lora-Shield-and-RPi-to-Build-a-LoRaWAN-Gateway/)
In the end I purchased The Things Gateway (https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/docs/gateways/gateway/)
