Title: Fonts
Post by: davidbitton on Sep 18, 2018, 09:57 pm
I poured over the code, and I am unable to determine where the GFX font is defined. I'm guessing it's in the FPGA. Where is it? How can I load a different one? Thanks!

Hi David,
in the current release fonts are loaded in FPGA code. we provide the following list of fonts at the moment:

Org_01,
Picopixel,
Tiny3x3a2pt7b,
TomThumb,
FreeMono9pt7b,
FreeSans9pt7b,
FreeSerif9pt7b,
FreeMono12pt7b,
FreeSans12pt7b,
FreeSerif12pt7b,
FreeMono18pt7b,
FreeSans18pt7b,
FreeSerif18pt7b,
FreeMono24pt7b,
FreeSans24pt7b,
FreeSerif24pt7b,

in the near future we are going to implement a flash file system that will allow ARM to see 1MB of the FPGA flash as a disk where you can load (along with Arduino code) some read only files to provide FPGA with graphic resources such as bitmaps and fonts. of course the file system will also allow to write files for logging and other purposes.

let me know if you need any additional info.
