Title: Talkie Clicking
Post by: Mark1252 on Apr 21, 2019, 08:02 pm
Help please,
I have loaded Talkie OK but every word has a click at the beginning and end.
Any idea how to stop the click.
Thanks Mark

You can get a click if the audio is DC coupled. Try connecting the Arduino's output through a series capacitor.

Failing that give a lot more information about your amplifier and its connection to the Arduino.

Mike, thanks for the advice and my apologies for not replying for so long but been tied up solving some of my other issues.  I tried many different values of series capacitors but this did not work.  I have been taking the output directly from the nano voice output pin 3, I have also tried adding an LM386 amplifier but nothing has removed the click other than a capacitor in parallel with the output which softens it.  It seems to me to be something like a stop click from the software but I do  not know how to prevent it.  Any others ideas??.  Thanks Mark

So I did say

Failing that give a lot more information about your amplifier and its connection to the Arduino

That means schematics of what you have and what you tried.
