My pick is Barcelona but Manchester United at Wimbley has a "home field" advantage (or is that "home pitch advantage"- sorry I'm a Yank). Never thought I'd consider United an underdog.

Well it couldn't be worse could it? All over them for 10 mins, concede a goal with there first attack and then give up.
With no Ronaldo, and no Teviz I am hoping there will be less "me" and more "us", if you know what I mean.
I only managed to get down to Old Trafford to see them three times this season, tickets are hard to get but I had a work colleague who had a season ticket and he let me have it on a few occasions he was out of the country. Sadly we both got made redundant at the same time so I am no longer in touch.
My first visit to Old Trafford was when my Grandfather took me to see them when I was 9 in the 1950s. It was a 5th round cup tie and there was never a ball kicked because of the fog, you couldn't see from one side of the ground to the other let alone end to end. I went to see the league game the following week and saw Bobby Charlton play when he still had hair!

Wow, that's absolutely increadible! I guess living in Europe you have those opportunities. You are my senior by at least 30 yrs, so you have been able to see some of the greats.
In the states we have Major League Soccer where you can see a retiring Beckham or Henry. And occactionally the Mexican clubs (boring) play friendlies here, in South Texas. Since Mexico and Texas are neighbors there is more reason to support United on Sat.

Actually if you saw it he did smile as he exchanged a hand shake with the other manager.
He is a much maligned manager and people do talk rubbish about him.

Absolute rubbish.
Everything he does or says gets blown up out of all proportion by the press. Other managers say the same sort of stuff and no one bats an eyelid. He even got hauled up a few weeks ago for saying nice things about a referee. It turned out many other managers had fallen into the same technical trap but no one noticed until he did it.
It is an English disease to vilify the successful. It seems you have succumb despite being you being European.
@screw32 yes it was a good game and I would agree it was much better than two years ago. We will have to try again next year.
