Title: response time: using a touch screen as a pc mouse
Post by: kabona on Feb 14, 2019, 07:42 pm
Hi all,

I have a 7" LCD Capacitive Touch Screen Panel (https://www.buydisplay.com/default/7-inch-lcd-module-capacitive-touch-screen-panel-i2c-spi-serial).

I would like to use it at a mouse for my pc.

My question is in regards to the response time. I know touch screens have a lag. If you use a drawing app on a tablet and draw a line on most tablets, there is lag and the the draw point will actually trail behind your finger a bit.

Am i correct in assuming that there would be no lag on my input from the capacitive touch on my pc if i use the panel as a mouse? There will be output on the screen of the touch screen, but the response time of that doesnt matter. All my concern is about the response time from the capacitive touch to my pc.

thanks!!
