Hello,

I am facing this problem that 'opkg update' gets stuck at downloading stage. The YUN is connected to the wireless router and internet connectivity is fine. I can ping downloads.arduino.cc.

(opkg update just displays the following line and stay there)

Downloading http://downloads.arduino.cc/openwrtyun/1/packages/Packages.gz.

However, if I leave the YUN's wifi settings to default (i.e. YUN acting as AP), and connect YUN to the same wireless router through Ethernet opkg update works fine.

I am using OpenWrt - YUN version 1.5.3. built=Fri Nov 14 03:53:51 CET 2014. The other system info is:

Firmware Version:  OpenWRTYun Attitude Adjustment 1 / LuCI 0.11 Branch (0.11+svn10537)
Kernel Version:      3.3.8

any ideas?

@aamirmahmood,
Any ideas about what? It appears you can download from the Internet. However, the description you have given seems normal. Downloading an update or upgrade can take between 2 and 20 minutes, depending on your connect. What should we have ideas about?

Hello,

how long did you wait before stopping the opkg process? Did it return some error?
