hello, i have read that it is also possible to develop arduino programs with c/c++ is that correct?

is there a guide somewhere that explains how to set up development for that?
i.e. where do i get the compiler and how do i upload the binary executable to the board?

thanks!

It's not only possible. It's required. Unless you can do assembler.

Push the Upload button.

thanks!
i didnt realize this syntax is c ( is it C or C++)?
i thought this is some processing specific syntax.

but what exactly happens when i click the upload button?
i guess it is calling some compiler and some linker and then uploads the executable to the board?

can this be done outside of the IDE too?

Yes. But, learn to use the IDE first.
