hi, can anyone tell me does the GY 291 ADXL345 handle full 360 degree rotation? and does it report absolute pitch and bank or is it relative to where its powered up?

thanks

The accelerometer measures accelerations.  If the accelerometer is held still, you can calculate pitch and roll from those accelerations using the trigonometric functions, subject to their limitations.  Tutorial

that's what i thought, its just that the ebay page title is
GY291 ADXL345 3-Axis Digital Acceleration of Gravity Tilt AVR ARM MCU Arduino
when i saw gravity i got excited that it could detect absolute tilt angles.

all the accelerometers will have the same problem of calibration and drift right, i'm hoping to find one that doesn't

Where ever did you get that silly idea?

What do you think drifts, and which direction is "right"?

You may continue to be excited, because an accelerometer can do that.
