Topic: Getting a reading from a durometer (Read 43 times) previous topic - next topic

I have purchased a Longacre durometer and it seems to have the same 4 pin setup that most the harbor freight calipers have. I'm hoping I can get a reading from it. I don't have access to a oscilloscope to get any readings. I assume if I copy paste a caliper setup I might get some numbers but since it only reads 0-100 instead of 0-~150.000mm.

Any one have any thoughts or ideas of how it might play out? Or any direction i could take?

Ideally what I'm trying to do is average a reading and make it semi automated so you can get some consistency. whether that's just taking a Max or if its averaging I haven't figured that out. But just getting the number to the arduino is the main concern.

Thanks.
