If you haven't seen the Remote Debug Library for Arduino IDE and ESP 32 or ESP 8266 boards you should take a look at it. It can be used to debug projects over WiFi, with a web app or using telnet.  It provides print commands similar to those used with the Serial Monitor.

Developed by Joao Lopes. It is easy to understand, easy to use, intuitive, and has low overhead. It's Just what I've been looking for.

As long as you deploy your sketches using the serial port, you can use Serial.print commands for debugging. If you deploy your sketches OTA you can't use the serial monitor. This library solves that problem.

Great job. Thanks Joao.
