So I have the first Arduino UNO WiFi and have been trying to get it to connect to WiFi
using a sketch(Don't want to use the http interface method). I assumed it could be old
firmware issues and updated my the firmware using the method described in the documentation
of the product here https://store.arduino.cc/arduino-uno-wifi . Also couldn't find my specific
Arduino under the product section guess it's already a forgotten product. I've used various
sketches, but still can't seem to connect to the WiFi and struggling to find proper documentation
to achieve this. When searching I only find help regarding Rev.2 or using the WiFi shield which
has been unable to assist me.

What is the proper process to connect to WiFi using sketch code for my Arduino UNO WiFi 1st
version? Am I missing something for instance an library. Nothing thus far have worked.

with original firmware use the "Arduino UNO WiFi Dev Ed Library" it has examples.

if you want a standard networking library, you should change the firmware to WiFiLink

here is everything about Uno WiFi Dev Ed: https://github.com/jandrassy/UnoWiFiDevEdSerial1/blob/master/README.md
You can't write an Arduino sketch if you didn't learn programming. Not the language, but the concepts of programming - algorithms and data types.
