trouble loading the driver software for my arduino uno

when i connect the board the power light comes on and then the (L) LED flashes like it should when the blink program is installed, but this is the first time i have plugged the board in so shouldn't have any program on it.
once the windows install doesn't work i navigate to the device manager and the board is not under the Ports section like it should be but is in unknown devices as an unknown USB, I selected it and then navigated to update the software but when i got to the folder were the Arduino UNO.inf file is the files were not visible.

i am using a netbook with windows 7 starter O/S and have seen a post with a similar problem but no resolution.
any help would be good
cheers.

Right click the device in Device Manager \ Other Devices
Select Update Driver Software
Select Browse my computer for software
Click Browse button
Select the Drivers folder under the location of your Arduino software installation
Click OK
Click Next

sorted thanks, I was looking for the actual file :expressionless:

Follow the given suggestion (IT Works) I've done it on 2 boards now... the first time several people here held my hand lone enough for me to do exactly the same thing... Now I have an R3 a Clone R2 and a Mega2560 all working and well too.
