MKR WiFi 1010 SPI slave mode

I've been trying to learn SPI communication using the tutorials I found online. I had already been successful with using Arduino Uno as both master and slave, but then there are no tutorials nor sample codes when configuring the MKR WiFi 1010 to slave mode. Can anyone point me or tell me if it is possible to do this, since I've been trying to look for clues online for hours now.

At the top it states:

This library allows you to communicate with SPI devices, with the Arduino as the master device.

Near the end it states:

Since this library supports only master mode, ...

Also when you look at the library source code line 209, you can see how the SPI module is configured for master mode. I could not find another function to enable SPI slave mode.
