Arduino dont works

I bought my Arduino last week from the website, and its taking some problems.
When i use the "Button" program, by clicking at the button, the board shuts down, and the Serial Port disapears and i was testing in other computers and ask for help of technical assistence  and it seems the problem comes from arduino.
So i want to know if its possible to send the arduino back, to fit. It's very urgent.

It sounds like your button is providing a short-circuit, but without more details it is hard to say.

Where did you by the device?
have you contacted the vendor?
