Hi all,

Im using avrdude to install a bootloader but first need to erase the current chip

im using this command

avrdude -c avrisp2 -p m328p -e -P usb

and getting the following back

avrdude: stk500v2_command(): command failed
avrdude: stk500v2_command(): unknown status 0xc9
avrdude: stk500v2_program_enable(): cannot get connection status
avrdude: initialization failed, rc=-1
        Double check connections and try again, or use -F to override
        this check.

avrdude done.  Thank you.

2 Green lights are on the mkii

Any suggestions ?

edit:

the light nearest the USB cable flashes green multiple times when the command is run, The side nearest the chip flashes red very quickly and then back to green - dont know if that helps
