it seems like the 3 color gels are missing in my kit. In which box did you find yours?

They should have been in the Electronic Component box, along with all the other components. These are small colored strips about 1" x 1/4" (25mm x 6mm). You should have 3 of them, Red, Green, and Blue.

thought so...but they were obviously not included in my package.
but its okay I found a nice work-around using the potentiometers 
worked fine as well
