The problem with my BT module is that it has 8 pins, not 6, and is missingthe extra components. Compare the pics with this one

Ok, one more time.

Step 1.
FCC search http://transition.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid/ and get 6 pins module which you list above.

Step 2.
Google image search https://www.google.com/imghp?hl=en&tab=wi by your post image url an get https://code.google.com/p/droiduino/wiki/Step_0_The_RN_41  and product name is Bluetooth Mate Silver from Sparkfun

Step 3.
Google search "Bluetooth Mate Silver Sparkfun", get https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10393  and get ;-



Ok, we need Logic Level Converter.

Step 4.

Google search "Logic Level Converter Sparkfun", and get https://www.sparkfun.com/products/8745

Step 5.
