Topic: Annoying Windows 7 Administrator Issue with the IDE (Read 1 time) previous topic - next topic

I know this is a minor issue and I can still perform all the functions in the Arduino IDE if I open it up as an administrator, but it's just so annoying to have to do that every single time. I tried to go into properties and always opening as the administrator, but that also prompts a screen to give it permission every time it's opened. Is there a way you guys have found to bypass this?

Thanks

Probably Windows tried to solve issues with the application and applied some compatibility options. Right click, properties, and remove all the compatibility things from the EXE

Thanks for the reply, but it still prompts the same old message, any more tips?

Install this: http://forum.arduino.cc/index.php/topic,118440.0.html should not ask for privileges after is installed.

I actually read that on another similar thread and have installed it. However the problem still exits. I think that Windows is checking every time because the publisher signature is unknown.

I think something in the app failed once and you answered to windows something like "it is not working properly" so maybe windows applied compatibility things to an internal exe, I can fix your problem remotely via teamviewer or some desktop remote support, send me PM
