OOPS ... I am new to this forum so your help is very welcome. I have a new project that indicates requires an Arduino Duemilanove ( w FTDI chip). Looking a the sites products it would seem that this product is discontinued. So 2 questions what is NOW compatible ? and where can I get it in Canada or USA, 2nd alternative. The goal is to test USB/Serial communications on an Android based Device Thank-you for your quick response.

Any Uno is compatible.
The PC doesn't what device it talks for USB; the '328P on an Arduino doesn't what the source of TTL level Rx/Tx is.
If you insist on FTDI, then use a Nano. Its more or less a Duemilanove in a different form factor.
