I think there is plenty of scope for getting into serious trouble attaching electronic devices (however innocent they may be) to public benches.
Unless of course this is a survey sanctioned or even contracted for by the council.
I'm interested in designing public spaces. I want to do it, to show how many benches are poorly placed in public parks.
