Topic: YUN - Wire library - Light Sensor (Read 1 time) previous topic - next topic

Firstly, I don't know if this is the correct forum, but since it is related to the YUN pin layout and I'm trying to get this working on my YUN, I thought it might be the best place. I suppose it will fit into the Leonardo forum as well.

Setup:
YUN
Grove Base Shield - http://www.seeedstudio.com/wiki/Grove_-_Base_Shield_V1.3
Grove Digital Light Sensor - http://www.seeedstudio.com/wiki/Grove_-_Digital_Light_Sensor

Now, the sensor was constructed as an I2C device, which on Uno is using the A4 (SDA) and A5 (SCL) pins and on the YUN, the 2 (SDA) and 3 (SCL) pins as per the wire library.

My question, since I cannot/do not want to modify the wiring of the shield/sensor block, can I modify the wire library to use pins 2 & 3 instead of 4 & 5? Maybe I need to modify it somewhere else? I am not a coder and only understand a little of what is going on here.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.

Cheers
BK

Hi BKR,

the Wire library uses the I2C "hardware" peripheral of your board so no changes are required... or I misunderstood your request?
