FAT

It depends on the SD card. I use a 1GB card and it will take years to use it all if I never delete any files. SD cards of higher capacities are supported - you will just need to find the limit.

I use a 2GB card, so at least we know it's bigger than the previous poster's 1GB. I didn't see the max size listed here, so so far it looks like 2GB is the known answer.

The max size is 32 GB for standard SDHC micro cards.  Both SdFat and SD.h support this size.

SdFat can use larger micro SDXC cards format as FAT32.  64 GB  micro SDXC cards are available.
