I'm using the arduino uno starter kit with the RFID-RC522 reader. I'm trying to get the arduino to simply read one of the tags and register that it has read the tag on the serial port. I'm using the library found on https://github.com/miguelbalboa/rfid but continuously receive the error message ("MFRC522" has not been declared) and the following:
MFRC522:7: error: 'MFRC522' has not been declared
MFRC522:9: error: ISO C++ forbids declaration of 'MFRC522' with no type
MFRC522.ino: In function 'int MFRC522(byte, byte)':
MFRC522:11: error: '_chipSelectPin' was not declared in this scope
MFRC522:16: error: '_resetPowerDownPin' was not declared in this scope
MFRC522:21: error: 'setSPIConfig' was not declared in this scope
I have no clue what it means and what I'm doing wrong .

You need to install the libary correctly. You put the folder inside the libaries folder then restart the IDE.
