This is a 3DOF desktop class crane made by Makeblock parts. The maker is Harry. He used a smart link mechanism to transfer the rotary motion to linear motion.

The structure is very easy to create. This is the part list.

Mechanic Parts

? Beams;
? At least 3 DC motors;
? Cuttable Linkage;
? Timing Pulley;
? Nylon Pulley ;

Electronic Modules

? Baseboard(2 Motor Drivers integreted);
? At least 1 DC Motor Driver;
? Infrared Receiver Decode and Infrared controller;

MAS3

Nice.
Most interesting part to me is the way you are controlling the 'travelling crab', the part that moves the hook/load horizontally.
Have a look at "blink without delay".
Did you connect the grounds ?
