Yes with one addition. Having an "issue" to work against is very helpful (also essentially required; I don't think Christian will merge without one)...
I suggest keeping it very brief (one or two sentences) and include a link to this thread.
I have no idea how to do it but issues and pull requests can be bound together which I suspect is helpful for Christian.
