I purchased a couple Yun a few years ago and gave up using them....I am trying again but I think I am running into the same issues - flaky wifi.

 Basically the White USB comes on and not the Blue WiFI - the ArduinoYun-XXXXXXXXXXXX shows up as a wifi host - (with no blue light) - when you try to log on - the White USB Light goes out.

I can "reset" the Yun, and get the WiFi hostname to show up, I can connect, but but have no luck wiht http://arduino.local, .   If I go to the IP 192.168.240.1, I can access the Yun, but when I put in the default password "arduino" the Wifi shuts off and the white LED goes out.

After a few minutes the Wifi host shows up and the white led comes back on - and you can get to the initial screen, but now it will not even go  to the password screen.

30 Sec hold of the WiFi Rst - gets the wifi to come back on - try to connect, wifi light goes out.  

It never seems to be consistent.

Is it dead / a lost cause?


I can load sketched via USB cable connection to the computer.

I was able to load YunSerialTerminal and get a dump after the reset - needs to be two posts.
