Topic: Unable to setup Bluetooth on Yun (Read 7785 times) previous topic - next topic

Hello everyone,

First, let me say that I'm really new to the Arduino environment. That may explain my problem.

I bought an Adruino Yun and a Broadcom Corp. BCM20702A0 Bluetooth 4.0 dongle. I'm now trying to configure the Bluetooth but I'm unable to detect it.
My netbook is running on Windows 8.1. I've installed the IDE and Putty.
I've connected my Yun through USB and it's detected just fine.

The problems start when I try to install the bluez_5.13-1_ar71xx.ipk package. I get this error message that I've been unable to resolve.

Inside the LuCI interface I get this error message :

Downloading http://fibasile.github.io/images/arduino-yun-ibeacon/bluez_5.13-1_ar71xx.ipk.
Installing bluez (5.13-1) to root...
Collected errors:
* satisfy_dependencies_for: Cannot satisfy the following dependencies for bluez:
*    libusb-compat *
* opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package bluez.

I've installed the libusb packages available but it's still not working.

Could anyone help me please ?

My Yun didn't have it either but I found the pkg here:

I got bluez to install but then it doesn't seem to work...

hciconfig doesn't find any devices on my end.

openwrt-yun  has bluez_5.13 but in 2 packages- bluez-libs, bluez-utils.

Code: [Select]
opkg update
opkg install kmod-bluetooth bluez-libs bluez-utils

but it would not auto mount with kernel 3.3.8  but 3.8.3.   ( new one is 3.3.8, old one is 3.8.3)

use manually mount it.

echo 050d 065a > /sys/bus/usb/drivers/btusb/new_id

Code: [Select]
