I get the error whenever I try to upload a sketch (just a blinking led sketch) to my Arduino due.
In the ports tab I can't see any usb ports and I have made sure that the correct board is selected, I don't know what else I can try.

This seems to be a mac problem.  I have loaded the sketch using windows and Mac  and not had a problem with Windows.  The minute I go to Mac Os Avrdude. problem.  Amtel and Apple needs to be bitched at!!  They changed how Amtel chips are talked too.  Until this APPLE problem is fixed kiss the Arduino platform goodbye unless you run an earlier driver file.  Apple  Dumb Asses messing with good working driver files and it was not an security issue.  I say lets tar and feather them.  The only time you will get honest politicians or software writers  is when capital punishment is part of the equation.  Apple can you hear me calling.
