I've bought 1w white ..
I've bought 3w white

Then I found several other suppliers and bought more 1 and 3 watt...

After months of collecting 1 and 3 watt leds I stuck them all in a bag...

Thing is... 3w or 1w white  are identical in every way except price!

Red, blue, uv, green etc all have different sized dies the smallest being 1w

So then... anyone ever truely bought a 1w white LED? I think they're all 3w being sold as 1w... :/

Maybe it's the other way around: they're all so-called 1W being sold as so-called 3W.
"Identical in every way" covers a lot of territory.
Does that include running them all the way out to 1W or 3W?
Comparative luminosity and so on?

I've not run tests on them, thought I'd ask around first...

But psychically they look identical regardless of source,  I will mount a couple of leds onto a heatsink and run them at 3w like they claim and do the same for the supposedly 1w ..

And wait for magic smoke...  either way, I can't find true 1w or 3w white leds (I obviously have one or the other as they all look identical)
