Topic: Arduino Starter Kit compatible with 6 DOF Robotic Arm?  (Read 670 times) previous topic - next topic

Im starting a DnT project for my HSC MDP and i want it to be an animatronic horse made from sticks and driftwood. I have decided to use a 6 DOF Robotic Arm and I was wondering if it would be compatible with the Arduino UNO rev.3 which comes in the starter kit. The robotic arm I desire to use can be found here:

Don't see why not: you can control 6 servos from an Uno.

Just remember not to even try to power the servos from the Uno  (as opposed to control) : use an external supply of the right voltage and sufficient current as shown attached (for 3).

PS... it the acronyms DnT, HSC and MDP are supposed to mean anything to members, you might like to explain.
