I Killed my Arduino

I messed up, I was making a curcit with a little motor and an external power supply, and by accident i plugged  9v in my input on my Arduino

so now its dead, the question is what is dead, is it the chip, or do i throw the bord out
it's an uno board

If by input you mean a Digital or Analog Pin, then I believe the chip is gone. I think the absolute maximum limit is 5.5V.

If you meant the power supply input, then there should be no problem, the range being 6-20V (7-12V recommended).

Yes it was a digital input i plugged the 9v in
