Topic: Installation of "python pip" does not work  (Read 11357 times) previous topic - next topic

opkg update                 # updates the available packages list
opkg install distribute     # it contains the easy_install command line tool
opkg install python-openssl # adds ssl support to python


Just heer it works fin, bad then:

easy_install pip            # installs pip

i get thes messages:

Who can help me? Found no such message with Google .... Latest firmware is installed ... maybe that is the problem

If following command work.

easy_install pip-6.0.8.tar.gz

When I enter this code on pc then it works fine.

On the Arduino Yun I get the following message:

ping: bad address 'pypi.python.org'

opkg update no problem! Why this address can not be resolved?

VI /etc/config/network

add dns server to used netservice, in my case    'lan'

Code: [Select]
option 'dns' '8.8.8.8'
