I powered my arduino with a 12v power supply... Now it doesnt work and its TX, RX and On led are continously glowing and it does nothig other than that... What would have happened??

johnwasser

If the ON light is blinking the power is switching on and off.  Are you sure your 12V supply is DC, not AC?  What happens if you power it from USB instead?

Yes im sure. I powered it with a DC supply. And its only glowing continously. I typed wrongly there.

About all you can do is try to burn a fresh bootloader.  To do that you need an ISP device.  You can get a USBasp for less than $3 via eBay.

Sounds like you melted something.
I never got an answer on what happens when you power from USB.

It is not recongnized by arduino IDE when i power it by USB and it gets heated too much... Nothing other than this happens... Have i fried it??

johnwasser

Have i fried it??
I think that is likely.  Best case is that the bootloader need to be reloaded.
