It seems when I click on the Help / Reference my Chrome Browser Hangs for a very long time.

Chrome gets the following errors:

Can someone help? I have tried viewing the arduino reference on a number browsers types and PCs. They all get the same fault.  I assume that everyone would be having this problem. The reference displays but does not let me click on any subsequent link.

What happens when you go directly to the Reference webpage at http://www.arduino.cc/en/Reference/HomePage

and do not try to read it through the stored files on you computer at
file:///C:/Users/you/wherever/arduino-1.6.4/reference/arduino.cc/en/Reference/HomePage.html
which is where help > Reference sends you.

What happens when you try to open any other .html saved html file stored on your computer?

All I know is that it works fine in Safari.  Perhaps you have some kind of security software that is keeping your browser from referencing local files.
What OS are you using?

I am using chrome on windows 7.

Accessing the reference via  http://www.arduino.cc/en/Reference/HomePage works perfectly.

Could it be a cross-origin problem??
