Mfrc522 RFID help

Dear seniors,

I am working on a project rfid (mfrc522) based gate door opener.
It's working 100% correct.
I'm worried for these few questions :

Can mfrc522 is able to work 24x7 everyday whole year.
Will it burn or malfunction as it continously searching for cards while time...

What do you think,  if I push a button and then mfrc522 initialize and start searching of tag card. And after that the mfrc522 disable and stop searching for tag card or stop radiating...

Please help me.

Mfrc522 is IC.

IC grade:

• Commercial: 0°C to 85°C
• Industrial: −40°C to 100°C
• Automotive: −40°C to 125°C
• Extended: −40°C to 125°C
• Military: −55°C to 125°C

Your Mfrc522 might be only Commercial grade unless you paid premium.

It might failed at 7/24 outdoor  environment.

It might failed at 7/24 outdoor  environment.

It might fail if you operate outside it's rated temperature range but it will not burn out.
