Topic: Why this shematic work bad? Please help! (Read 1 time) previous topic - next topic

Good morning! Have a trouble, this shematic is true? :)

Have some problem with pin 12(maybe?)
Arduino usb always frozen(my code in forum programming)

HELP,HELP,HELP!!!

I have no options...
!

Grumpy_Mike

The diode is in the wrong place, it should be across the coil not in seriese with it.
That is probably causing the freezing.

That diagram is very poor. First it is on its side which makes it difficult to read in a mobile device because the device keeps putting the picture the "right" way up.
What size is that resistor?

wrdArduino

it should be across the coil not in seriese with it. ???
resistor is not lit!

Is pin2 controlling the relay coil? Why is the third pin (of the coil??) connected to 3.3v?
Arduino cannot directly drive relay coil anyway.
The diagram is not clear at all.

What are you trying to do??

wrdArduino

Pin 2 show open\close state of the device as a whole.

Adapter 12v 5A send impuls to coil across relay throw diod by 12 pin (open\close relay)!

I am not electronics!

Let us hope the resistor is not lit.

1) You need a diode across that induction coil not in series with it.
2) You need a transistor to drive the relay coil.
3) You need a diode across the relay coil.

4) You need a better translator that then one you have, your replies are barely comprehensible.

Thanks to all, problem solved!
Shematic good, coding simple!!! :) from SerialEvent i removed DELAY and changed code!

Thanks to "experts" for help !

So ask the question if you do not want to know ,

Grumpy_Mike

Yes not quite right was it but you don't know if the word "why" was dropped on the way into Russian or on its return journey.

Google translate feedback loops are pretty brutal.

wrdArduino

Thanks for help!

So it is heard your answer as -- :) brutal in my language!!!

In view of :
"I'm not electronics !"
is there really any point in telling the OP that the reason the diode should be in parallel with the coil instead of in series is that :
A- the diode drops 0.7 V
B- the diode is a "flyback diode" intenddd to shunt " back EMF"
C- the reason for using a transistor to drive the relay is to provide isolation between the arduino relay driving pin and the relay power.
