are there any technical data out there ?
like current draw from the 5V supply in different (broadcast-) modes.

is there some kind of "sleep mode" ?

what about a schematic ?
(is it not open source hardware ?)

The schematic is now online, sorry. About the other questions, we will produce this documentation soon

thank's a lot,
but "https://www.arduino.cc/en/uploads/Main/Arduino-WiFi101-schematic.pdf"
seems to be a dead link at the moment..

just to mention,
the same thing as for the "zero" here:
as you know, a pdf-file fulfils not the criteria of open source hardware --> http://www.oshwa.org/definition/
Quote from: oshwa.org
[...]The documentation must include design files in the preferred format for making changes, for example the native file format of a CAD program. [...]
for me it's OK, better than nothing,
I am able to make an EAGLE file out of the PDF manually,
I know that this is the reason, cause the design is made by ATMEL ...

The design was made by ATMEL and in Altium that hasn't a free or trial version.. However we will try to make them public in EAGLE format in the next future

Where can I find the data sheets, schematics, etc. for the WiFi 101 shield ? The information on the Arduino website doesn't  appear to be the newer WiFi 101 that I have.
