I Have a yun running some sensors and an motor at a remote location (3hrs away) and am accessing it through port forwarding on a pfsense router. thats works pretty well but i've started having problems with it needing reprogrammed does any one know how to send a sketch to a yun not on lan?

Build your sketch on your computer, and find the compiled .HEX output file. (Open the Preferences dialog using the IDE File | Preferences menu item. Then check the "Show Verbose Output during compilation" option.)

Now, log into the configuration pages of you remote Yun. On the first page after logging in, there is an "UPLOAD SKETCH" section. Click the Browse button and find the .HEX output file, then click the UPLOAD button to program the sketch.

That should do it!
