So I am trying to make an SMPS for the first time and I am still testing and experimenting, I decided to use BYV29 500 ultra-fast diodes for the final rectification phase, however the didoes that I bought come in TO-220 package with three pins, the package is labeled as BYV29E 500 PHm0215 C3 the center pin is connected to the body, after testing the package it seems like there are two diodes in the package as considering the center pin as Cathode I can do a diode test from my multimeter on two of the outer pins, does anyone have any idea on this? All the datasheet for the BYV29 500 that i can get on the internet says the package contains only one diode.
