Hi there,

I have a generic 5v white on blue display from bistbox:

https://www.bitsbox.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=172_182&products_id=2574&zenid=o92lmqq8fjd7iqcqlhlfd2nlr4

It's hooked up to a nano and some other components in a housing to create an MPGuino for my car - diagram is on this page:

http://ecomodder.com/wiki/index.php/MPGuino

It seems to work fine, however there are two issues:

(1) when showing the vehicle's instant MPG the way the display refreshes (the white goes black before it goes white again) means that it is hard to read. If the number displayed changes a few times a second it becomes a black/white mess until the number is constant for a while.

(2) when powered by USB rather than in the car, where it gets 12v to VIN, the screen has moving horizontal lines on it.

Am I expecting too much of this little screen? should I be using a green/black one instead?
